Who We Are
Hello, we are Annika & Björn – founders and inventors of Läppie – and we love being outdoors!
In 2023, we fulfilled a dream and hiked the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) together. From Mexico to Canada, 4,200 kilometers through California, Oregon, and Washington. Six months of living, walking, eating, sleeping outdoors – simply being in the moment.
If we had to describe this feeling in one word, it would be: Freedom.
But with freedom also came a realization: nature in the USA was astonishingly clean. No trash, no toilet paper by the wayside – just nature as it should be. This is not due to stricter rules, but to the attitude that many people there live by: Leave No Trace.
Back in Europe, the contrast was stark: toilet paper everywhere. In the forest, on rocks, on hiking trails. And frankly: that really frustrated us...
Our Vision
We dream of a world where no one leaves toilet paper or tissues in nature anymore. Where mindfulness, respect, and shared outdoor experiences are self-evident.
Nature is not a quiet place for thoughtless habits, but a place for encounters, relaxation, and vitality.
Our retreats in Europe are precious. Let's protect them together!
